Grazia

I know, you are probably all sick of me by now.  Well, too bad, I'm still here, but you can ignore me if you want.  This is just becoming a good way to unwind at the end of the day.  By the way, I don't know all this blog etiquette, and even though I haven't acknowledged all your comments, please know that I greatly appreciate them and you all, as this is about my only link back to whatever that world is back there.  Another day of school, followed by complimentary lunch for students, of you guessed it, pasta con pomodoro e zucchini.  But, unlike my other schools, served with wine.  I finally think I found my morning caffe place, as there are many to choose from.  But around the corner from school, there's a small place with warm cornetti filled with something good, including chocolate, and I also have my caffe americano, and take it outside to sit and watch the world go by.  Spent another afternoon of walking all over Roma.  Here's a bunch of guys in suits looking important, who were all driving audis and mercedis.
This was at Piazza del Parlimentario, and they were good reminder of what I'm missing back home.
Walked down to Fiume Tevere, passing stuff along the way.
Also, passed by a dvd store, and picked up few film italiano, including a Commissario Montalbano film.  Found myself at the Colosseo again, and here's a few more pics.

Ok, that's it for today's pics.  Just like the old vacation slide shows people were subjected to, except you can tune these ones out.  My legs and feet definitely feel like I've been around the block a few times.  I have a massage appointment domani at 3:00 to see if my low back problem can be fixed.  (Grazie Caterina for the recommendation.)  Interesting email from the therapist saying he also uses  "l'agopuntura cinese"  ( "accupunture"), but that if I'm afraid of needles, he can stick to shiatsu.  I'll see how brave, or crazy I'm feeling tomorrow when I get there.
And, of course finished the evening with dinner with Maria Grazia. (Time for a correction. I've incorrectly been referring to her as "Maria Grazie" when her name is "Maria Grazia".  Big difference in Italian, as first is Maria Thanks, while correct name is Maria Grace.)  She is truly full of grace.  Simple rigatoni with her ragu and usual very fresh insalata, and una bottiglia di vino bianco.   I'm really loving our nightly conversations. We both came to a major profound agreement tonight that life is really simple and beautiful.  Pasta, vino, laughter, sun, sea and good friends.  (Ok, the sea not here, but pretty close.)  Oh, I also was a technical wizard tonight.  Maria has skype, but was without camera.  She has two of her sons with grandkids in Dominican Republic, and wanted to be able to see them.  She finally bought webcam today and I installed it tonight, and it works.  She was thrilled.  Hey, I'm a geek and a slacker.
Alright, one more picture of remains of tonight's dinner.
Well, not much left of anything to show, and of course that'd be Maria Grazia ducking under the table.  And with that stunning display of my photography skills, I will leave you for another day.  Ci vediamo domani.
