Vongole
Not a good day. Don't ask why, just wasn't. But, as they say, a bad day in Roma beats most alternatives. Actually, just didn't want you to think this was all fun and games. Really, it's nothing but work, work, work over here. I did find myself totally under water in the new class today. But, I left behind a priest and a nun for three young attractive students. One from Paris, one from Brasilla and the third from Spain. Guess I better sleep on this, and decide in morning which way to go. But, day ended much better than it started. And, Maria Grazia always here to solve all world's problems with a good plate of pasta. Tonight, my favorite with the fresh clams we bought at market
Spaghetti con vongole, and all seems right with the world again. Plus, Maria has now decided that grappa is an excellent way to end each evening. A domani.

Sorry to hear your day went so bad, maybe you were still tired from the weekend. I'm sure you will get the hang of it and are probably absorbing more than you think. Hang in there and get some rest. At least you got to have your favorite pasta dish at the end of the day that is a nice consolation prize.
ReplyDeleteYou and spaghetti con vongole with grappa are a match made in heaven, aren't you?
ReplyDeleteI am grateful for the chance to enjoy Rome thru your posts. Some days I have trouble deciding if I am more jealous of the jummy food, the taste of Roman life or the fun school experience. Have on Tuesday, we will be waiting to read the highlights of your day!
ReplyDeleteThat was "have fun on Tuesday." lol
ReplyDeleteSisy, I'm watching closely for exciting news of arrival of your daughter. Wish you all the best.
